One thing that I wish more people knew about is how close Main2 is to most of the suggestions that keep appearing in this thread and others. It may be that it is not advertised enough but there only seems to be a few that actually use it. Here are a few things that people may not know about Agharta.
1. There are no spawner traps allowed. The only possible way to farm spawners is to build around a mine or dungeon and farm like we used to when Minecraft was new.
2. There are not huge swathes of land under protection (Except for Shamballah, of course) and there is plenty of land available.
3. There are only two kits and many of the perks available on Main carry over.
4. It is pretty close to survival as there are very few players and you are left to your own devices to survive. Taran, Ohten, and I died multiple times when the server opened from starvation and mobs until we were able to find food.
5. MTC carry over but tangible items do not resulting in an almost completely isolated economy.
6. You create your own protections. This uses the plugin with the golden shovel.
It was proposed before that Main would eventually become "locked" to all new players. I fully support that and a move to Agharta. There is plenty of room around spawn in Agharta and it is huge, but orderly. You can easily stay in the area around spawn or you can go out in the wilds or find a town. There are several admins and mods that have towns on the server and I have seen a few player towns appearing on the world map. It will be much much more difficult for people to build enormous structures and cities since they have to mine or contract out for materials. Since Main will never be wiped as stated by Sawine in the Newsfeed, a move to Main2 only makes sense. The server that many people seem to want has been here since it was publicly released on 14 Oct 12.
