[Enjin Archive] For the love of God reset the Nether.
Started by [E] Osmosis

You don't think the poor lambs could manage a few hours without Minecraft? Is this really what society has come to?

You reset the End, that's just why I wondered why resetting the nether wouldn't be impossible.
Why wouldn't you reset the nether? Because people have netherwart farms and blaze grinders built in the nether. Why should they have to rebuild because you can't find as many blaze spawners as you'd like to find? Blaze spawners are a limited resource in the nether. As people collect them, they get rarer. That's how limited resources work. They also go up in value.

The only way you can walk 3000 blocks and not see a fortress is if you walk in a straight line. Don't walk in a straight line. *Explore* the nether. Get lost in the nether. You will find what you're looking for.
I have a question,

So if I buy a portal, and place the portal say, 5000 from spawn, will the portal point 5000 from spawn in the neather? Will there be an end portal created as if I used flint and steal, or would i need to buy two, to create one on the return side?
The End isn't 11000x11000 Wide

There really is no need to reset it anyways as Irethena has stated, it's as big as the main world and 95% of it is completely untouched
yeah no point AT ALL...

If you place a portal 5000 blocks from spawn in the overworld, it will create a portal 625 blocks away from netherspawn, or link to an existing one within 128 blocks.
Very cool. So how is the math ran? Say it was 10,000 from spawn?
its the blocks divided by 8

(X/8,Y,Z/<object class="emojione" data="https://resources.enjin.com/1489581540/themes/core/images/emojione/svg/1f60e.svg?0" type="image/svg+xml" standby="8)">8)</object> of overworld portal = (X,Y,Z) of nether portal. It then searches 128 blocks in all directions from this point for an active portal. If it finds one, it links to it. If it doesn't, it creates a new portal at this location.
Thank you very much guys <object class="emojione" data="https://resources.enjin.com/1489581540/themes/core/images/emojione/svg/1f642.svg?0" type="image/svg+xml" standby=":)">:)</object>
