Most of the stuff around the 2012 topic is propaganda. The Mayans themselves don't believe it's the end of the world... it's the end of an age.... the completion of a ~5200 years cycle.

If you have interest on the topic, I'd suggest you to watch the Zeitgeist movies (in my signature), they make few reference to it and also cover tons of other interesting topics.

Before I owned MT, I was a lot more into "alternative and conspiracies topics"... I've read many and many things... and I'm not talking about 10mins long youtube videos full of bs... I was browsing for hours on abovetopsecret.com (the biggest conspiracy forum, which contains tons of interesting stuff... and also tons of crazy stuff...)

Anyway, I don't feel like bringing the topic to a debate because there is simply way too many things to be said and it's impossible to have a proper debate without everyone having the same information.

But... to keep it very short and simple, my beliefs on 21/12/12 are either: The return of the ancients, the beginning of the golden age, the end of humanity or nothing.

Also... please stop comparing Y2K to 2012... it frustrate me to see this comparison everywhere... the Y2K bug was about an hypothesis that some old computer system would not be able to update the time date to 2000 and would cause a massive bug when communicating with the new ones and the time difference would have caused massive disturbance in the world network... which just didn't happen.

2012 is about the completion of a very long astrological cycle which has never happened to the face of humanity.
