The world will end one day. But even when it does, it will be over and us either dead or the majority of the worlds population wiped out, before we will even realize it.
Mother Natures' way of showing us that no matter what we build, no matter what we pride ourselves for and live our lives by, that it all means NOTHING to her. We exist because she allows us to, and we shall die if she demands it. Plain and simple as that.
Even with humans gone, earth will still exist. And so will other forms of life. Life always finds a way, here on planet earth.

I have a Y2K story my parents told me. With everyone being scared about Y2K, my parents decided to go buy some things just in case something happened (like many other individuals and families during the time) even though my dad didn't believe it would happen.
Anyways, they go to the store to go get some things (camping supplies, etc.), but my dad deemed camping supplies and what-not unnecessary and bought one small propane tank for camping. Just one small propane tank for maybe heating something very small. Not sleeping bags or anything, but a small propane tank. We still have that small propane tank sitting in our closet from 12 years ago lol.
But for the opinion portion, I highly doubt that something like that will happen.
