[Enjin Archive] Town Project.
Started by Unknown User

The thing about Minecraft nations, eventually it grows into a communist-like society. In Communism, everything is shared by everybody and the rich don't profit from the poor. Everyone works to better themselves and to better society. Everyone is equal and places of production, (Factories, mills, forges...etc) are owned by the people. The biggest part is resources are distributed according to need.

It SOUNDS like this type of society would work, but it never has. Sharing resources could work, but the problem is deciding which project or citizen needs it most and how would what they are doing benefit us?

I know my Republic system is a little flawed, but It's the best I can do. I don't like the idea of one person ruling the government.
Do you still want to talk to me about this? I am currently available.
I do. I sent you a friend request and you haven't responded.

I believe I accepted it. Let me verify nevertheless.
If craftbook becomes possible in main2. I can easily build automated farms on massive scales for you. I even designed a semi-efficient tree harvesting farm.
I am against an government to be honest...
You need to have one person who is ultimately in charge and I would say that most of the current faction or cities do not rotate or change leadership. Do not use the shared resources for individual players and instead use it to expand your city and amenities. It would end up being far too much work changing leadership and ownership of things.

Supplies are very limited on Agharta initially and it will take some time to get enough supplies to really get your town going. People that join will need to supply their own building materials for their new homes in your town.
The area where I intend to start is surrounded by forests and water. Building materials will be easier to get to.
I would agree with the above. But I do like different people in power for different roles. That spreads out a bit of the power in my opinion and would definitley work. Your society, sounds a lot like communism, and keep in mind that communist countriest were normally poor and have bad living conditions.
You would be better served running a nation using a select council. The council have supreme authority but their power is branched into divisions. Division leaders hear the issues of the people and handle them accordingly. If a issue exceeds the ability and judgement of the division leader it is passed onto council. Council then convenes and passes vote on if said issue should be dealt with and in what manner.

Council members can be voted into position by other council. However the person has to serve as a Division Leader first.
