OS = Operating system lol... there should be a sticker on your laptop, should say Windows 7 probably, maybe Windows Vista...

Your Java may have linking problems to minecraft. My old toshiba did and i had to enter some load of letters and numbers into the java files. It worked but then the laptop shitted it self because it was old.

if I were you, I'd scrap it and get a desktop... I'm pricing out parts to build mine at the moment, gonna be almost 1k... But it'll run like a BEAST.

I am gonna throw in my 5 cents. If you get the crash error then it is a java error. Try adding more allocated memory to your java. Google how because it has to do with end task manager and stuff. Good luck.

Oh and Toshiba is crap. Might as well sell that while its still kinda valuable and buy a better one

They are reliable I admit. But that is it. They are cheap and not very powerful. I recommend asus or acer. But try to get the intel processors and at least 4GB of ram
