I think under 16s should be allowed to apply for Moderator.

Not new members who joined like a month ago.

What I mean is, people who have been around the community for a long time, and staff, admins and members know they are mature.

Basically, people who are under 16, but known to be mature should be allowed to try for Moderator.

Some people mature at a younger age.

This is why you need to know how mature they are, not how old they are.

Just for people wondering, I am writing this from a 13 year olds perspective.

I believe I am mature, but wouldn't want to put any Application in, until staff know I am.

As one of the people responsible for selecting new staff I can tell you this age limit is not going to change any time soon. if you are under 16 you may be considered for the helper rank but not mod. Yes it is true we currently have 2 mods under the age of 16 but both of them came about through special means or by being a helper first. This will not change regardless of a poll.
