Ok so i told chester about this , and i would just like to see how the other players feel about it.

Pretty much it automatically plants saplings which are on the floor after a tree has been cut down. This stops you having to manually plant/replant tree's. It also means trees you cut down in the wild wont cause a deforestation, i mean c'mon, no-one replants every tree they cut <object class="emojione" data="https://resources.enjin.com/1489581540/themes/core/images/emojione/svg/1f609.svg?0" type="image/svg+xml" standby=";)">;)</object>.

This should also lower the cost of some building materials, encouraging people to use more wood based products.

either way i think it would work well on the server and hopefully change some of the blank grasslands into dense forest.

EDIT: The saplings dont plant instantly , so you can pick them up and replant them. They plant after 10 seconds, so you could chop a tree and wander off, the leaves decay then they plant. come back and there is now 5 trees.

So what do you guys think, good idea?

I already have two large chests of saplings, please don't make them have LESS use. Tyvm

they are still plantable, this just stops them from decaying when people dont replant their trees

I think that deforestation makes an interesting gameplay element. It causes the price of logs to fluctuate over time, and at some point some people might be hired to replant forests or something.

with this plugin we could have a logging company.

On my mountain I just built a tree farm, it would make it way less of a hassle to cut them down, and I can install an incinerator for the extra saplings (I have all 3 types!) or, I could surround the mountain with trees I guess...

How would you get rid of trees to build a city?

simply clear them and pick up the saplings, they dont insta-plant, they plant after 10 seconds.
