Click start --> in the search bar type "feed the beast" right click on the folder that shows up at the top of the list and delete it. Note this will remove all ssp maps.

re-download the launcher and start ftb.

First: go to the control panel, then select programs, at the bottom of the list Java should be there, if it doesn't say 'Java(32bit)' Download the 32 bit version of java. i had you download the 64 bit version i think. http://www.java.com/en/download/manual.jsp
