The new EE updates have removed the process of getting free mats from nothing. they are remaking ee from the ground up.

I clearly stated that if we used this platform, we could make our own pack, with whatever mods we wanted.

Creating our own pack.... Great in theory pretty fail otherwise...

What they don't tell you is that if you create your own pack that you have to personal get permission from each mod author that doesn't give express permission to use within their terms of use blah blah blah ( already bored).

So for most mods this is ok but for some mods like redpower we simply will not get permission. Technic ... I really don't even want to discuss them. First off what they do to mod authors is really sad. Second the debate still goes on whether or not they will be around or not next time around. Third their updates suck... This is mainly due to how they treat mod authors.

Of course these are my opinions but we are in better hands with FTB then if we switch to technic...

He is saying that you can set up yiur own mods, and use the tekkit launcher to distrobute it, like all the other mod packs Tekkit has like voltz

plus changing to technic means it would be another ton of work for the already busy staff, all the work on stabilising the server so far would be in vain. i doubt we will ever change to technic

Would still mean switching to technic... Sure we make the pack but we would still have to get perms and so on. I can guarantee that many of the mod authors would refuse simply because of technic.
