PS I died during a random explosion in my age while typing that ^^ Now I am stuck till I find a star fissure rofl <object class="emojione" data="https://resources.enjin.com/1489581540/themes/core/images/emojione/svg/1f61b.svg?0" type="image/svg+xml" standby=":p">:p</object>
Im upset alltogether. if your going to remove equivelent exchange from the new mod then ill probably never play on a minetown server again
Halos didn't you already rage quit like 10 times? EE is gone sorry to break the bad news. Actually gonna have to put in some effort now...

Can't please everyone and certainly not going to stick with a broken system for just one person.
If the choice is tekkit without EE and buildcraft, count me in! <object class="emojione" data="https://resources.enjin.com/1489581540/themes/core/images/emojione/svg/1f642.svg?0" type="image/svg+xml" standby=":)">:)</object> I'm playing a server with a similar setup and it is a really cool challange. I miss the mt community though.

Probably will try FTB if it is setup to. So I'm abstaining from this vote.

The only thing that sets me back on returning to minetown tekkit is the fact that resets are turning into a regular thing. And, unlike others, i like tekkit to build. The machines just make life easier.

Cheers.

I haven't tried or even heard of Feed The Beast, but I've lost just about all interest in Tekkit by now. I vote for the change!

Sadly the burnout rate on tekkit is extremely high. What exactly do you do after you build your factory and have everything? Which is part of the reason I am for FTB. There is so much more to do after you build up your area.

Well that is one of the thing i dislike in tekkit, and probably FTB. Some cool developers did this awesome upgrade to minecraft and all the sudden everyone thinks that is all about tech and massive factories instead of the traditional 'Build cool stuff' type of play.

This also seems a reason why map resets in tekkit servers are so common. No one really seems to care about building once you put a bunch of new tech in their hands.
S'pose I was a bit careless before <object class="emojione" data="https://resources.enjin.com/1489581540/themes/core/images/emojione/svg/2639.svg?0" type="image/svg+xml" standby=":(">:(</object>

I've looked at the mods on FTB's website...

Looks rather nice <object class="emojione" data="https://resources.enjin.com/1489581540/themes/core/images/emojione/svg/1f642.svg?0" type="image/svg+xml" standby=":)">:)</object>

I didn't previously vote, so, i'm now up for a switchover! <object class="emojione" data="https://resources.enjin.com/1489581540/themes/core/images/emojione/svg/1f600.svg?0" type="image/svg+xml" standby=":d">:d</object>

I know another tekkit server anyway ;D
I've downloaded FTB already. I'm beginning to go through it and starting to look for any potential problems.

I think we should open the FTB server as a creative mode beta at first. So people can come in and really give the pack a thorough test. Obviously afterwards we would wipe the server and go to survival mode.
My initial opinion of FTB's mods so far:

Industrialcraft- Pretty much the same, but with lots of new endgame items to make such as the GraviChestplate. Nuclear reactors are now 20x more complicated than before, which I'm not sure is a good thing or not. I still have to go through all the add-on items to this such as fusion reactors.

Redpower2- Not there. Double sadface <object class="emojione" data="https://resources.enjin.com/1489581540/themes/core/images/emojione/svg/1f622.svg?0" type="image/svg+xml" standby=""></object> <object class="emojione" data="https://resources.enjin.com/1489581540/themes/core/images/emojione/svg/1f622.svg?0" type="image/svg+xml" standby=""></object>

Portal Guns- Awesomesauce. Nuff said. As for connected portals' image causing lag, it seems like the mod can be configured to only show a static image on two connected portals, so that might help.

Extra BiomesXL- Very cool. The variety of the biomes is astounding. But also makes finding rubber trees a pain in the ass.

Iron Chests- Useful as always.

Steve's Carts- Allows you to make pretty much any cart you can imagine. Looks fun and useful.

Thermal Expansion- Looks interesting, but not really much to do with it. IC can do pretty much the same things, and usually better.

Factorization- Jesus Christ! Disable the wrath igniter! Seems very similar to Thermal Expansion. The wrath igniter is super destructive, but necessary to make the more advanced machines.

ComputerCraft- Freaking awesome, but very difficult to use unless you're familiar with the coding language of the mod. Will have to make sure mining turtles are enabled on the future server for sure.

Buildcraft- This is where we have problems. There is no RP2 tubes in this pack. And we all know that BC pipes cause lag. If we disable this then we've pretty much just turned off all factory capabilities. The same old BC machines are back( quarry, refinery, mining well, pumps, ect.). And if they will cause map corruption, they will have to be disabled.

MystCraft- I don't really see the point in this mod. It offers a good range of new dimensions, but there's nothing to gain from going there. Also seems like it would be pretty rough on the server to have to generate all these new dimensions (and there are a lot of them). The cave dimensions are my favorite.

Railcraft- Same old, same old.

Forestry- Was removed from tekkit a while ago. Still is on technic I believe. Makes awesome automated farms. Not much else to do with it.

Twilight Forest- Very, very cool. Generates amazing magic forests. Adds tons of new items and content.
I've heard that redpower is comming to FTB soon, no official source, but I'm sure it won't take long
@ebay redpower 2 WILL be in the modpack. its still in the process of updating.
