yeah it would, just it would be really dark. Maybe an open chest with glass ceiling?

gotta have the chest look though! i agree on a huge @$$ torch we could use maybe lightstone? =] i have been saving up diamond and gold ignots and making blocks i have quit a bit of them

Maybe a town inside lit with giant torches and with buildings made to resemble giant items?

For the torch i was thingking wood with a bunch of fire under some glass, and the chest would still look the same-ish! Just rotate lid of chest so it looks open
