[Enjin Archive] Unofficial How to get players fighting PvP server suggestions
Started by [E] XxDEATH_SN1PAxX

Then again.. I just found another loop hole.

Its pretty much the same thing as killing them over and over again for the bounty, but it would just require 3 players instead of 2.

Another alternative would just set a timer on players, you can still only kill them X amount of times, and still have to wait till another player kills that player, then a timer would start, and you have to wait X amount of time before you can kill them again.

Possibly add the command:

/bounty time

and it would list who the next few people you will be able to kill, and the time you have left to wait.

Or if we could get a plugin where the bounty is displayed as a number beside your nameplate <object class="emojione" data="https://resources.enjin.com/1489581540/themes/core/images/emojione/svg/1f61b.svg?0" type="image/svg+xml" standby=":p">:p</object>

This would DEFINITELY reel more players in.

Doesn't sound too hard to code either.

If your talking about the nameplate above there head, then everyone would have a steve skin if we did this.

Now if we implemented spout to it, it would allow us to change nameplates, and they would keep there skin.

I meant the whole idea in general <object class="emojione" data="https://resources.enjin.com/1489581540/themes/core/images/emojione/svg/1f61b.svg?0" type="image/svg+xml" standby=":p">:p</object>
And now its just getting over complicated xD

Danni said the mods would safeguard it and that if anyone was to feed other players, they would be banned.

An easy solution to the problem of players feeding each other, is make a killfeed in chat.

If someone is being killed over and over by the same person... then everyone sees it and screenshots it or tells a mod.

True, but it would only be a bit more code, and all sawine would have to do is type in 2 numbers inside the config.

I mean, yeah, we could do it the "mods" way, and sending out a message when a player is killed isn't to hard.

But the kill feed is a built in feature of Minecraft SMP. So it requires barely any code, if not any.

Thus is true. Maybe a message that is only sent to staff, if a player kills a member, the first message is green, saying who killed who, if the same person kills that player again it will go to a yellow message, then a orange message, then a red message. Like a warning on how many times someone is killing another player in a certain period of time.
I mean, if you want to code it yeah, then fire ahead.

But the easier option would be the old Minetown type killfeed. But again, it would be awesome if you coded the green - red thing.

The flaw with the yellow to red thing is: What about base raiding. They would keep spawning over and over and you would keep killing them, which is allowed.
How about your bounty only goes up for every 5 players you kill without dying?
Another suggestion:

Make doors unlocked in faction territories.

Was about to say the same. Spawnkilling is a technique to take over bases and needs to remain allowed.

This could be way more simple, no? Danni mentioned in one of her first posts about the bounty plugin that the idea would be to record whether you kill innocents or thugs. If you'd implement a command showing a list of people you have killed and how many times it's not hard at all to tell if someone's been getting fed with kills.

With the current plugin on the mainserver for example, you can see that urfacepwn has been spamkilled many times to feed the top two players on the KDR list.

Just do /clan lookup urfacepwn and do /clan kills <playernames of his clanmembers>.
