I like the idea assuming its possible and doesnt get overdone. I think the area around the portals that are heavily used get baron and people take all the nether from there and make it look bad anyways - why not protect the area immediatley around and build some of those sweet structures? imo that land will just be raped by people too lazy to walk away from the portal anyways - so why not just avoid that problem and make the portal area sweet?
