MOST JALLAF
ALL THE ANCIENTS ARE ON THIS THREAD WOO
certain people that are donaters have yet to be perma banned whilst if one of us "regular" minetownians done the same acts they did perma banned, and some of the mods have gone corrupt and just the slightest break of a little rule ( i dont know, say mildly spamming? ( either get a 2-3 hour jail or a temp ban and i thought we were going off the 3 strikes your out rule ( depending on the severity of the event ) ive seen wonderfully good people get permanently banned even though it was their first offence and the thing they did wasnt even major
Okay, at this point I have to speak up too. I'm pretty new here, and by no means do I think that the server is going to hell or any crap like that, but more and more I feel like there's a bit of a Nazi approach to moderation here... It just feels.. overpoliced. Don't get me wrong, griefing is a seriously annoying issue and I don't think it can be allowed to run rampant, but at the same time it feels like the tiniest thing can get you banned. I doubt there's a single person on this server who has been here for any reasonable amount of time and not been banned at least once. Yeah, a lot of the time it's just a false alarm like you opened a chest that someone else stole from, etc., and it gets reversed, but that still sends a "police state" message to the players and I'm sure a lot of them move on rather than try to sort things out. But if you are guilty of something, it's generally a very short slide to permaban. You don't get any warning for most things, no temp bans to straighten up, no second chances. You just get permabanned. Then there are the things that the staff seriously overreacts to. Like posting in someone else's ban appeal. Seriously, have you guys heard of chilling out? If you just warn someone they're probably gonna keep out from then on; I don't see why everyone needs to be penalized for it. It just creates completely unnecessary tension in the community, along with the fear that you will get permabanned for anything that only partially resembles breaking the rules...
I get that people will be upset about it, as TPrezzle was a prominent member in this community. Hell, I liked him too at one point. Yes, the internet is full of trolls, and sometimes you have to roll with the punches. But, there is a line that TPrezzle has been crossing on a daily basis, despite requests from the staff that he stop. He over stepped into the line of cyber bullying and disrespecting staff on a regular basis, which we have a zero tolerance policy of. Some of you may not see it that way. Please, trust us. We only want what is best for this community.
Yeah theres also supposed to be a no tolerance policy on cheating and we see where that went. Also Cyber bullying is just a fancy term for people not being able to handle life. It is a sob story that has been made up and shoved in peoples faces so parents can have someone to blame when something goes wrong. I say that being a parent myself. I hate it how a person gets upset because of fallout from their actions yet a flood of ravenous wolves comes to their defense whilst others are shrugged off.
This server is supposed to be fun and relaxed but its seems that lately you could throw an egg in the wrong direction and catch grief for it unless you make buds with a mod.
I hesitate to participate in this but I've noticed something similar. It seems that if someone isn't good friends with a mod (I hate to put it that way but I cant think of any better wording) they get permabanned for the tiniest things, while those who ARE friends with a mod get away with rather large offences. Of course, I mean no offence but "We only want what's best for this community." tends to be the catchphrase of anyone that wants people to ignore whatever they may or may not be doing. It's just so frustrating to see more and more bans every day, many of them not justified. Perhaps an interview/court system is in order? Permajail anyone who is suspected of a bannable activity until the staff can get time to interview the person about the event in question. That way they can at least have a chance to defend themselves before being unceremoniously thrown away from their friends, projects, and community.
It just seems things are getting stricter. This isnt always a problem i suppose but sometimes..
I am agreed that sometime really overpoliced. It's like every single thing will be ban without 1st warning or 2nd...

i makes me feel a stress playing in MTd of leisure.

It's not what we do, but sometime what we talk/speak also creating an offence and be banned.
