I'd make fun of them, but it's not like I'm using my time for anything more productive.

I was a boyscout too when I was a kid. It may mean a lot to you, but it doesn't mean a lot to the world.

I've known plenty of bad people who also happened to be scouts, it's really not an airtight reference.
