We had something similar to this before, and I remember the last time I wasn't fond of it. It tries to put a spotlight on something that is meant to be considered one entity. To be honest, I don't really care who likes me the best, and who hates me; I continue to do whatever is needed to help the server so it remains well maintained.

I'm not saying it's a bad idea, but I don't see the fun in it.

I think there SHOULD NOT be a competition because some people might have real feelings of this and the admin/mod would be depressed of why he didn't get the award also a lot of fighting and arguing such as who is the better admin/mod and they will start abusing there powers(most likely not). Also the users would argue about there favorite and start talking about how good there favorite is and will lagg the chat
