Reasons for wanting to claim the land: Unfinished, looks terrible in current state. Would like to revamp, and make look like it belongs on East9k Road.

Contacted the owner? (Ingame and Forums): -Must provide screenshot proof of message and also copy/paste of forum messages.

Other interested parties, JessicaRabit and JadeKitten1, know of this take-over request. If approved, I will clear the land, rebuild it as a proper town, setup plots for people to rent, and make it so the area looks decent again.

In the interim, I have claimed the lands, and will abandon the claim if the original owners return before this request is approved, or if this request is denied.

Hello MythrilCid, I'll help you out here. Since you have done a great job of trying to contact all possible previous owners. There will be a 6 month waiting period to claim this land.

A quick why to bypass this long and tedious wait, is getting a reply from said owners. If you get a screenshot of their reply, we can move right on ahead and transfer the claim.

Unfortunatley after further investigation by masterjack, there are two signs indicating that the town will re-open in august. I apologize, we can no longer go through with this transition.

If you re-appeal after August, then I will re consider.

There's several conflicting signs, so not sure. One says it will reopen 7/8/14, the other says 8/16/14.

If they don't return/claim their land after August, should I just bump this thread, or open a new one?

Curious as to this thread/situation. I was the current owner and had claimed this land over a month ago with full knowledge of the previous owners. They had disputes and abandoned it, I claimed it to protect my daughters home there as well as the fact that this property is connected to mine. I was the owner of the town/land until this past morning.

Well technically, according to the rules you shouldn't have claimed the entire town, having your daughter claim just her house would have been the better action. Just because a property is near yours does not mean its something one can just take over. Granted protections mean nothing at this point.

Even if Cid were to protect it, if he changed it at all within 6 months without the previous owner's permission (the people who built it) they could very well come back, say they were griefed and we as staff would have to ban him for griefing. Just because land is not protected doesn't mean you can grief the builds there.

We would need a screen shot of the previous owners willingly leaving it to you for you to even matter in this situation. Otherwise, as far as I see it, you are merely keeping the town from being griefed by protecting it.
