I just logged in at http://minecraft.net/login and seems everything is fine. but when I try to log in at mine town mc.minetown.net it says failed to verify user name ,disconnected by server. my username is _Snoobish_

I'm quite new so please be gentle. I got my application approved already and once I try to login it says failed to verify username it would be great help if someone can give me info on why is this. thank you in advance.

In general how long do I have to wait before i get accepted? I look forward in playing at the server so I gotta know how long I have to wait.
