Have a Mac? Use OSX ... have a PC use windows 7 ... its that simple .. Both will do what you need to do ... no spam, no troll .. Just the facts.

Windows 8 is not really meant for desktop PC's its a tablet oriented user interface. Although performance wise it will work just the same as Win 7.

I use both PC and Mac an BOTH are Equally as irritating .. and BOTH are running the mainstream operating systems intended for that hardware platform. Nothing wrong with LINUX, its just not a mainstream supported Operating system.

For the Average user, OSX for the Mac Platform and Winodws 7 for the PC platform are the OS'es of choice.

Its really that simple.
