i never promoted it in-game where the helll are you getting this info? are you guys even reading the ban appeal i did nothing wrong the guest wasnt even going to pay the 5$ to join he said so himself and oki thats not three strikes against me this is my first mess-up and it wasnt even a mess up its me being banned becasue im on a different server and omega doesnt like gat he said so himself in chat and you think he might transgress those feelings onto me? becasue im on his server for cryin out loud people

Nor should this be a totalitarian state. If someone wants to say that $5 might not be worth it then go ahead. Obviously, he payed over $100 so it was obviously worth it to him.

Banning on grounds of disrespect is bullshit. You know how I stand on that. Admins aren't gods who should suddenly demand respect from everyone.

This is my view on the situation:

Mikel, you definitely should never tell a guest that joining this server isn't worth the $5. I know you feel that you have the right to say that, but the influx of new members is what makes Minetown one of the best servers out there. New members who come and donate also help "float the boat" when it comes to finances. Trying to push away potential new members is a very serious issue. I would have to look at the logs to see what was truely said, but it seems you should have been more careful about what you said.

Everyone else, Although I agree that Mikel made a mistake, I do not think that this should result in a perma-ban. Under the condition that this should never be an issue again, Mikel should be allowed back into Minetown. I think some of you are being more harsh then the situation requires due to recent and mostly unrelated issues. You can't let those issues influence your decision on this ban.

I understand where you are coming from, but I think that you have the wrong view on how Minetown is structured. We, as staff, are here to help everyone on the server have fun. We are NOT here to be everyone's slaves. Staff are not paid to be here, we do this because we love Minecraft and this community. Imagine that Minetown is a house, and we the staff are the residents. We welcome anyone who is respectful to come in and to help us make Minetown the best server out there. If you are disrespectful though, well to put it in Red-Neck terms:

If i see someone disrespecting a player i'll do the exact same thing.

is different from:

This server sucks because I cant build for free and blablabla...

And anyway... This drama was all again started because some random person went on your website and posted shit (do i have to mention catman and broly did that to me over 50x ?) then you came back on minetown to blame some1 and you started this drama somehow because.... idk because what... you seem to be trying to keep a bad relation with minetown.

In overall... you are still here with your "goons" to bullshit about our server, you compare to us... you tell our members not to join... i mean... you definely have a grudge against us... and all that because you are following and supporting gatschet in his demotion and start of a new server ?

I mean i have nothing against it, but comon can this little war stop ? I've been ignoring it for the past 1-2 weeks and it still finds a way to reach me it seems.... The other server owners dont come on minetown to talkshit or copy us, they do they own thang... I would appreciate if you could do the same.

On another note, this ban shouldnt be permanent, again it all depends of what you are going to answer next.
