Build your own pc..... You can make a higher spec pc then a mac for half the price.
Mac = Editing Software

PC = Everything Else.

well i have a mac and its good but u still can us PC stuff on wit ha program called parallels
Mac is totally over price. For an exactly same spec PC, you'll pay 1/2 cheaper.

But mac is really good for video and image editing, and if you are not into hacking, or gaming it's perfect ! I also like the fact that most virus can't go on mac...So no need of an antivirus.

But if you wanna game, and get comptability with pretty much everythng, PC is the shit.
that and macs are not backwards compatability, like pcs, you can plug anything into a pc, install anything, and as long as you have the right configurations and specs then it will work, not tru about macs
I've used macs all my life. I have an OS 7 desktop, and OS 9 desktop, a 10.4 desktop, a 10.4 laptop and a 10.6 laptop. The laptops are mine, the others belong to my dad.

I've never had any real problems not caused by personal stupidity (E.G. Hurr durr system folder delete) and the obvious no viruses argument fits here too. Most software has a mac version or equivalent. My 10.6 laptop isn't top notch, but still plays minecraft just fine. I also have a number of other things that i use, 23 games I often play, Steam, some graphics programs such as Gimp and Blender, Apple has it's own line of video software, the interface, once you get used to it is pretty efficient, plenty of help online, laptop fell off a physics desk (1.4 meters) while open and didn't take any damage. If you have any more questions I'll be happy to help.

If you want a windows computer, you can use BootCamp to install windows or Paralles or vmware allow you to have a virtual windows computer.

Apart from that, there's only the 'apple tax' to worry about... It is overpriced.

P.S. I've not found a piece of hardware I've not been able to use with my mac yet.
