I would also like to know about this, I have a VERY large platform, over 100x100 made of wood (birtch) at Y= 10. There is a torch every 4th block (torch, blank, blank, blank, torch).

I have gotten NO slime spawns.

They may not be spawning because Slimes only spawn at levels 40 and below.

It's under 40, it's at 10...?

Someone said it could be because I dont have it walled in?

Slimes only spawn at morning/ afternoon at my farm, and they tend to jump into the void if you don't have them walled in. Furtermore you have to be x blocks away for them to spawn <object class="emojione" data="https://resources.enjin.com/1489581540/themes/core/images/emojione/svg/1f642.svg?0" type="image/svg+xml" standby=":)">:)</object>

I created a PE for this sometime in the past week,

The response was:

"You must be below level 40 and then within a certain amount of blocks to have them."

So, here's a screenshot, with my xyz. My height (y) is 10. I made a platform, almost my whole protection big, and still, no slimes...

Does anyone have any incite into this?

Slimes only spawn at certain moon phases. You might just be unlucky :/

Btw, you have to stay down there for a while (or near the place, atleast). Like other mobs they don't spawn when you're too far away from the platform.

does it matter if it's covered? I have a platform above it...

I'm not sure, but I don't think it does. I have mine almost 100% covered, but slimes still spawn at the right times.
