Wrong, there are indeed warps. All the regular warps work and take you to their nether world equivalent...though more often then not, you get stuck in a wall and die. So I simply dug up my existing warp to be safe for transport to, and built the town around it.

So the /warps warps you to the coordinates, in the Nether.
Which is why some /homes are in blocks, making them die.
