We had a system just like that and it caused a lot of headaches and drama. Which is why we put the current system in place.

well, the current system does not surfice. it would be great if you could try again, make a land claim comittie or something. maybe make a different section about towns needing to claim land that is in the way of expansion? that is my problem, my town will be killed by this system.... and so will many others. my town is surrounded on all sides, north is another active city, south is carloshell city which is massive, west is a house i want to claim and east is a small inactive town i have requested to claim, my town is being strangled if i could just break through to the east and west i could expand...

this is why i am desparate, my town is running out of land quickly, the rule 'dont build near other builds' stops me from expanding any further, and this rule being ignored has put me in this situation.

i hope you now realise what i am trying to achieve, the ability for towns to move through land that is not used, allowing thier survival.

i dont think i can say anymore, i have made my point, if you dont accept it, i cannot change it. my town will die slowly and i will lose money. because the system wasn't revised/ changed.

It's called planning ahead.

Building a town isn't something you can do just anywhere.

You need to find a suitable spot, with PLENTY of space to expand.

Next, get as much of the land protected as the mods allow you.

As soon as you notice somebody building rather close, try to settle an arrangement.

This little sum-up won't take any longer than a day and will most likely save you from the situation Barney is in right now.

Spend some time now, save 6 months later.

I do think the current landclaim process is wrong too.

In my opinion, nobody should ever be able to seize other players' hard work.

As much as I hate land claims, if it's because it's in the way of an expanding town, I do agree with Barney...

Six months is ridiculous it should be closer to 3. But anyway I have a special circumstance and no one has said anything about it. The person who owns the land broke rule 4 in the first place, and is now permanently banned. Why should I have to wait for 6 months to get it when he is'nt allowed to play anymore? The rules seem to be unclear as to people who are perma banned. I would just appreciate it someone took a look at my request and let me know about the situation. And as for landro.
When we started my city it was in december and we had to discover the area. It was over the edge of the map and was black. We walked for 45 minutes to get the new area. Now I have people all around me.

i bought the town, the house was already there. the town to the east wasn't that far off either i didnt expect to expand as much as i have

all i ask is special attention to be given to towns wishing to expand to inactive lands.
