Minecraft Beta 1.2

Minecraft Beta 1.2 is live. All servers need to be updated to 1.2.

New features:

* Note blocks (right click to tune, trigger to play)

* 15 wool dyes

* A new water dwelling mob

* New tree types

* Reeds magically turned into sugar canes. They still make paper.

* A bunch of new crafting recipes

* One secret useful block

* One secret pretty block

* Cake

* AND MOAR, probably. I forget!

Bugfixes:

* Paintings work in multiplayer

* Disconnecting while riding no longer keeps the player in the world

* A bunch more state is properly synched in multiplayer

* Fixed colors going weird on PowerPC

* Fixed a horrible chunk reload loop in singleplayer

* Fixed most lighting bugs in newly generated SMP maps

* Falling sand behaves better in SMP

* Fixed a few crash on load level bugs

The recipe for music blocks is 8 planks in a 3x3 crafting table with a redstone dust in the center.

Dyes can be created from flowers, etc., and mixed.

Black dye is obtainable from the new water mob- squid. They would appear to be passive. Perhaps like Pigmen? If so, I hope that attacking them doesn't make them aggressive server-wide.

Cake is 3xSugar, 3xEgg, 3xMilk. The former reed is now sugar. It can still be used for paper.

Music blocks, man i can't wait to try this.

I am building a giant guitar (laying horizontally) with my pal. There will be a pressure plate on each music block (for the frets) and walking across it will cause it to sound.

The note blocks sound more like drums with abrely any differenciation between the notes :<
