[Enjin Archive] Cooking with Madster!
Started by [E] Madster

Hey guys! So in this forum post, I will be showing you how to make mac-n-cheese! Here are the steps!:

Step 1:

You need to find a pot!

Step 2:

Once you have a pan, you want to fill it with water(dont worry about how much water the box says to use. Never follow instructions on the box.)

Step 3:

You now want to put the flame(if you have a gas oven) to FULL POWER!

Step 4:

Now you will need to wait for about 10-12 minutes for the water to boil. I suggest, since zionia is back, go online and hang out with him/her/it while you're waiting.

Step 5:

Once your water is boiling, you are going to want to pour the mac-n-cheeze into the pan. DO NOT PUT THE POWDERED CHEESE IN THE PAN!

Step 6:

wait, and occasionally come back to stir it up.

Step 7:

Once it is done cooking, you are going to want to drain the water. Use a strainer for this.

Step 9:

Grab the milk, and pour how ever much you want into it. It does not matter, cuss.. YOLO!

I'm sorry xD

You seem very capable of making a substantial lunch <object class="emojione" data="https://resources.enjin.com/1489581540/themes/core/images/emojione/svg/1f600.svg?0" type="image/svg+xml" standby=":d">:d</object>
Oh, also! Zio isn't the only fun one on the server :: pout ::
You'll only live once for a short while if you put as much milk in as I do <object class="emojione" data="https://resources.enjin.com/1489581540/themes/core/images/emojione/svg/1f632.svg?0" type="image/svg+xml" standby=":o">:o</object>

My mac n cheese is a lot more complicated...

Take flour and butter, make a roux in a saucepan. Put in milk, let it thicken over medium heat, then add a bunch of shredded cheeses (I use cheddar, parmesan, and gruyere or mozzarella cheese. Emmentel is also recommended, use whatever combo you like ;D) Use 2 cups shredded cheddar, 1 1/2 cups parmesan, and 1 1/2 cups mozzarella. Keep 1/2 cup of each cheese set aside for later.

It will create a thick sauce of amazing goodness, like so:

Yumm. Try to drag yourself away from the pot...season with 1 tsp garlic powder, 1/2 tsp onion powder, salt, pepper, and 2 tsp old bay seasoning if you're into a little cajun flavoring.

If it's too thick, add some white cooking wine and let the alcohol burn off.

In a bowl, take 2 cups of (hot) cooked noodles. Add 8 oz sourcream, one egg, and 3 tbsp butter. Stir it up, mate. Now...me personally, I LOVE seafood, so I like to throw in some seasoned cooked crawfish tails. You can use shrimp, ham, tuna, vegetables (broccoli and peas go amazing in mac). Go freakin' nuts. Be creative. Have 2 cups of filler available. Toss all but 1/2 cup in. Now time for the cheese sauce. Throw it in, save 1 1/2 cups though. MIX IT UPPPP. It looks like this when done:

Ok, have your oven preheated to 350 farenheit. While it's amping up, get your mac in a glass or ceramic dish. Put a layer of noodles, then about half of that shredded cheese you saved from earlier...you did save it, right? You didn't eat it while you were cooking? >_> Sprinkle that on. Pour the rest of the noodles on, sprinkle with cheese and your leftover fillings. Pour 1/2 cup mik on top, press around so it seeps down. Throw the remaining cheese sauce on top. Oooh, look what we have here:

I like to throw some breadcrumbs on <object class="emojione" data="https://resources.enjin.com/1489581540/themes/core/images/emojione/svg/1f600.svg?0" type="image/svg+xml" standby=":d">:d</object>

ALRIGHT. NEAR THE END. YOU CAN HAVE MAC SOON!!!!

Toss some foil on that baby and pop it in the oven for 20 minutes. Then take the foil off and let it bake another 10 to brown up. DO NOT OVERBAKE. THAT IS MAC BLASPHEMY.

While waiting, do a little dance, make a little love, get down tonight...whatever keeps you busy, because this ish will be smelling GOOD. I personally like to put music on and rock out in my kitchen, but that's just me >_> (I so do not use the wooden spoon as a mic...)

VOILA. DING DING DING. It's done! Take it out, serve it up, MMMMM. Yummy.

>_> Yeah....I tend to overdo it in the kitchen....

So um. Hmm. Not much more I can say *drops mic and exits stage right*
