I figured since the new year is coming, why not rein it in with good memories? Post your minetown story here, how you discovered minetown, how much you like it, and the friends you have made along the way. I'll start.

So I just installed minecraft for the first time. I'd played it for a day or two, and was rather noobish. I decided to find a multiplayer server to play on and I looked at the alpha server list, scrolled down and down and down, looking at certain servers. Nothing caught my attention until number 213, minetown. Generic sounding but homey and a good amount of people on, not to many, not too few, a good looking server. Fate smiled upon me that day and I joined minetown and never looked back.

I was playing single player on Minecraft at first, but I thought joining a multiplayer server is going to be better than single-player. I kept joining servers but they weren't for me. then I came across Minetown on October 10th when it was creative, and when I joined and played on this server for a couple of days, I thought this server was amazing, so I stayed on forever.

That's the end of mine. lololol

I had played Minecraft for a few weeks before thinking about multiplayer. I had work on getting good at building through singleplayer, and decided to try out multiplayer. Unfortunately, I went on the forums to see what I could join, and Minetown was on the first page. After checking out the other server posts, I looked at Minetown, and decided it would be good to try it, because I was new. I have never left since.

The night i downloaded minecraft and i was looking down the ip list. i tired three good ones but none of them seemed wonderful. then i came across a server that caught my eye. MInetown. Sounded friendly and speacal. So i typed the ip and logged in. unlike the other servers, you guys accually paid attention to me. showed me around, made me some cookie's.(btw gear showed me around <object class="emojione" data="https://resources.enjin.com/1489581540/themes/core/images/emojione/svg/1f600.svg?0" type="image/svg+xml" standby=":d">:d</object> ) i thought that this server was creative and fun. Everyone was friendly to me. at the time there was only like 30 members on the server. it was a nice small commuinty with big projects. This is one of the best servers out there.

If I remember right sparks, you joined a day or two after I did, or on the same day. I forget which lol

*Sigh* I remember there used to be around 10-15 people online, not like 50 people online now. haha

i know i just joined minetown not too long ago but i might as well tell my story.

i played minecraft singleplayer for about 2 or 3 months. i got all the diamonds and resources i could ever need, had a huge castle and a golden throne. then, one fateful day, i noticed there was a problem. the problem was, besides a few pigs out in the courtyard, i was alone <object class="emojione" data="https://resources.enjin.com/1489581540/themes/core/images/emojione/svg/2639.svg?0" type="image/svg+xml" standby=":(">:(</object> before that day i never really knew how in-depth minecraft multiplayer was. i figured i would try it out since singleplayer was worn out. that is when i saw all of the awesome sounding servers posted on minecraftforum. i joined one that seemed cool because it had a small community and was a relaxed server. it was great for a while....but then the more people who came, the more admins and mods the server hired. there were so many of them the owner couldn't keep track of them. they turned currupt and would torture normal players, killing them, stealing from them, trapping them in boxes. it was chaos. finally i was fed up with the abuse and decided to look for a new server. i was hesitant at first because i had left all my hard work and projects behind, but then i saw minetown. i joined the server, saw the epic christmas tree in spawn, and felt at home <object class="emojione" data="https://resources.enjin.com/1489581540/themes/core/images/emojione/svg/1f642.svg?0" type="image/svg+xml" standby=":)">:)</object>
