I am un able to connect to minetown or any server in fact i get this message i cant even connect to my own localhost.

That is a Mojang error, try relogging into Minecraft completely. If that doesnt work, just wait it out until they fix it.

Yes, it is the Mojang sessions servers. They have been having issues on and off for about a week. Just wait it out, it should be fixed by tomorrow or so.
