I am attempting to develop a sort of party system, where people from different factions can get together on quests or go on raiding parties to large caves or go attack towns for war and such. Maybe when hell is working in SMP, we can go on raiding parties there to farm materials. Looking into a mod to get some sort of in-game teamchat. Will edit this post as I brew up more ideas. Throw yours in here too.

I like the local/group chats for my idea.

My idea is still not fully developed, but here is what I have so far:

Parties will be made of 2-5 people who go on quests or mining adventures or raiding parties to other cities/hell

They will use personal group chat in lou of normal chat, so the roleplaying can be private in case people are shy about rp'ing so everyone can hear it (I was the first time I did it too, no need to hide it)

Chat in group chat while in parties will always be RP chatting. You may not break character unless agreed upon by the entire group, and everyone must break character. The only way to say something out of character is to put parenthesis before and after it like this (Hi)

Dying while in a party on a quest means you fail that quest unless your entire party goes to spawn. In that case, you may restart the quest. Likewise, dying on a raiding party means you are out of the raid. No going back into the nether portal or back into the defending city (I advise DeathNotify plugin for this as well)

There is always a simple way to do a puzzle. If there's something like an artificial dragon, there will always be one little tnt block that blows the whole thing up. Split up and find the quickest way to finish quests!

Plan ahead! Think of story arcs and how your character would act in them before you do them! No one likes a party pooper!
