How many sheep, in how big of an area around the spawner, can be around a sheep spawner before sheep stops spawning fron the spawner?

It is all about the numbers.
But yes, six, so I suggest you get your mobs out of spawn range as soon as possible.
No quicker way than gravity I say.

Then collecting them and shooting them out about 400 blocks away!! xD
