Hello,

Lately I have noticed a few members fooling around in trade chat. These members are recently new. Something that happens quite often is someone places an extremely large bid on something and then say they were joking.

I think this could be fixed by adding a section in the rules for trade chat, saying the rules of auctions, etc. Please remember that when people apply to become member they are supposed to read the rules.

Well, it is a part of the Minetown Rules already, it's just not in www.minetown.net/rules. Perhaps we can put links on that page to all the additional rules that have been added (auctions, town owners...)

it would make it alot easier for the new members to follow the rules. i say make a link or write them there.

Perhaps tightening our belts when it comes to applications would be an option, as staff have been very aware of this for some time...

Quiz people on the rules gosh darnit!

I know Cloud Nation applications have a text field with a link to their mission statement, telling potential applicants to read that and then make a short summary of it. I think this would work well on Minetown. Just put in a random question about the rules.
