... It's not that easy. You need to replace your Minecraft folder with the one it gives you. Be sure to keep a backup of your current one if you wish to revert to 1.2 afterwards.

You know how to make change the jar out right? take the week 27 snapshot and remove the (number) so it just says minecraft.jar

no, i do not know how to even remove the number
