Today at the Weekly Loot Chest I received an item titled (Appears as Spawn in inventory)

It looks like a regular MobSpawning Egg, except all white, but cannot be crafted into a Monster Spawner (Using Iron Bars) and does not specify the mob type.

Can someone please tell me what this item is and how I use it?

I got one before. It is an empty/blank spawn egg. It's a spawn egg, but it doesn't have the attribute saying what it spawns so it won't work for spawning/crafting anything. It's kind of like a dragon egg in that it has no useful purpose. I assume it's a bug in the loot chest; it should give you a useful egg if it gives eggs at all.

What tomcort said. Its Item ID is 383 without a : and sub ids. For example, a sheep egg is 383:91. A blank egg is simply 383. Like tomcort said there is no purpose in it.
