Worse? This gives people a chance to go back and explore all the days of the past. The old versions I think were good.

MCNostalgia is dead but there's a project called minecraft version changer that does this already.

I think a more appropriate work would be "backdating"

For many, a brief trip to the past is far more than just an older version of MC.
