So I left a comment on a NOH8 video - - a video against proposition 8; California's law to make marriage between a man and a woman - - and it was a fairly tame comment. I injected absolutely no opinion... all I did was quote an article describing how people who supported prop 8 were threatened, or forced to resign from their jobs, and etc because of violent actions taken, ironically, by the NOH8 campaign.
Why am I bringing this up?
Because I want to know if I'm the only one that is profoundly disturbed that my comments were immediately dismissed because I'm a "white, Christian male from central California"
Besides that the above statement is not entirely true, I feel if it were made against ANY OTHER race, ethnicity, or religion, that there would be an uproar about racism and stuff like that. Is anybody else bothered by the fact that "excusing" my political comments based on my race and religion is okay?
