Most of you will know that xCoaster is looking for a new skin, and maybe some of you reading this will be making him one. I'm sure you will probably also have seen TacoIcingMan's post named "Where does your username come from?" I have seen both and I decided to put 2 and 2 together to come up with this idea and make this thread. Hopefully it will be just as popular and provide some equally interesting stories. But I guess I will start:

I used to have a skin which I found on The Skindex, and I used this for a while, however I grew tired of having a skin that wasn't mine or specific to me. So I decided to make a new skin, and I came up with the idea because of an idea I already had, that Minecraft needed obsidian armour! So, using the diamond armour as a template and the obsidian block from my texture pack (oCd) to model it on, I made my obsidian armour skin, and then just threw on the glasses, like Sawines, however to be a little different I just changed it from red and blue, to green and pink (also I couldn't be bothered with doing the face <object class="emojione" data="https://resources.enjin.com/1489581540/themes/core/images/emojione/svg/1f61b.svg?0" type="image/svg+xml" standby=":p">:p</object>)

I have been hand making my skins for a while now, so I usually just redo the fox that I have been using for the last 6 months. He has made some transitions in that time: He started as a naked fox but decided that some of those regions in Minetown were a bit too cold, so he turned into Adventure Fox (seen in my signature). Adventure Fox soon decided to become more main stream so he traded in his thread bare shirt and leather pants for a hoodie and jeans. It quickly became evident that everyone liked this sly fox's style so much, you could see his clothes everywhere, as everyone found a creeper hoodie to wear (Also I really hate hoodies because they mess up my spiky head fur). Plus with the warm weather starting to make its way into the forecast, it was time to pick out my summer duds. I can now be seen in my cyan v-neck and khaki cargo pants (my favorite outfit IRL). Also, the summer coat has started to show as I am now a darker red.

When I first started in minecraft multiplayer I found it difficult to find a really nice female skin, there weren't many of them. Eventually I came across a female pirate skin which was perfect for the last server I was on (It was pretty lawless).

I kept my pirate skin for ages, on the odd occasion found a new skin and changed but I always went back to my pirate <object class="emojione" data="https://resources.enjin.com/1489581540/themes/core/images/emojione/svg/1f642.svg?0" type="image/svg+xml" standby=":)">:)</object>

Once I was in minetown I decided I would get my own customised skin that I could call my own and love <object class="emojione" data="https://resources.enjin.com/1489581540/themes/core/images/emojione/svg/1f642.svg?0" type="image/svg+xml" standby=":)">:)</object>

I offered players to create one for me for diamonds and gave them a list of a few things I like and also examples of old skins. Then the perfect one came up, purple hair and a checkered shirt, I fell in love with it. Ive kept it since and dont think I will ever change it! xx

When I first discovered you could change your Minecraft skin, I was constantly changing my skin, trying to find new styles and themes, I had a few for a day, a few for a week. Yet, nothing stuck.

One time, I found the Slime Archer skin, (it is a slime archer, <object class="emojione" data="https://resources.enjin.com/1489581540/themes/core/images/emojione/svg/1f61b.svg?0" type="image/svg+xml" standby=":p">:p</object> it has a sheath of arrows on his back, and a brown hoodie) 

I really liked this skin, and I thought it suited me. I used this skin for about 2 months.

I then came to the fascination of making skins, my first ever skin was a small edit of the Slime Archer, making the Hoodie purple, and keeping everything else. (yes, the sheath of arrows too.)

I then made edits to this skin, removing the arrows, and making the hood, more detailed, interesting coloured. I had this skin for AGES.

Recently, I have made the last edit to my skin, Donkeyy had established the 'Kong Family' with two out of its four members having 3D glasses. I added these 3D glasses to my skin, to join the trend.

Recently, Dillon1975 edited his skin so he had the glasses, yet, he added something else, a faint KF on his back. I liked the idea and went along with him.

You probably gave up reading this, but it's the story of my skin. ;D

It didnt take long for me to get into skins,

At first i didnt think i needed one cause for about a month all i did was sp

But then i joined a server and decided it was time i get one.

So i got this sorta odd builder skin and that didnt stick it all

I discovered making skins from one of my friends on that server after i told him i was having a hard time finding one

So i made this awesome looking skin, i skate, so i wanted it to look skatery/me

It was me with a bluejacket, blackpants, and my hair just turned black

I regret to do this but i emailed the file to my friend so he could look....

Then next thing you know he posts it to planet minecraft, then everyone takes it from him and says claims it as theres...

BUT ANYWAYS i always have used that skin i mades face the face stuck in everyone of my skins i ever made for myself

Long story short, i like the face, i switch it with different skins, im not his friend anymore, and i make all my own skins <object class="emojione" data="https://resources.enjin.com/1489581540/themes/core/images/emojione/svg/1f61b.svg?0" type="image/svg+xml" standby=":p">:p</object>

PS: if u search me up on planet mc u will find i post none of the skins i personally wear as i dont want what happened to my blue skater skin to those

I've been making my skins since I started Multiplayer. So, the month I got Minecraft. <object class="emojione" data="https://resources.enjin.com/1489581540/themes/core/images/emojione/svg/1f61b.svg?0" type="image/svg+xml" standby=":p">:p</object>

Started out with a simple (but detailed at the time. :F) Skin that I maid. I then started putting more effort into them. Aaaaand now I change a skin once a month. Need to make a very Me-ish skin. <object class="emojione" data="https://resources.enjin.com/1489581540/themes/core/images/emojione/svg/1f632.svg?0" type="image/svg+xml" standby=":o">:o</object>

I made my own skin (its an elf wearing a crown) i posted it on planetminecraft but i didnt post the version with the crown becuase i am a king of elves and no one else....(i think)

The skin I have now is my second skin, I had a regular ape skin before and then I edited it and made it cooler by adding a cool shirt with and pants with shoes and then 2 weeks later when my cousin joined, He had 3D glasses on so I liked the idea and added it to my skin (Some people said I copied the 3D glasses of Sawine... I put the glasses on my skin before I joined MT lulz) >.> My skin was made a original I was thinking to add a headset to it because I love mah headset ><object class="emojione" data="https://resources.enjin.com/1489581540/themes/core/images/emojione/svg/1f600.svg?0" type="image/svg+xml" standby=":d">:d</object> lolz, Then I made a clan thing (Not faction) called 'KF' which stands for 'Kong Family' and Kong999, Sonic_Recreation, and Dillon1975 are part of that and we have a little clan simbol with 'KF' on are backs now.
