We need to get some rules set up for this forum.

Maybe some of the standard things, like no double posting, no language (?), no impersonating other users, minimum 13 year old sign up requirement (US Law), English only (?), no advertising, no off topic posting (?), etc.

i dont think we need rules yet. You have a choice to look at a post if you want giving the chance that it might have some swearing in it, English is easy if your a different language just use google translator. If someone was under 13 they would lie about their age i always used to do it. If theres afvertising just take it down. and if i believe so there is a off topic place for taht

Where would we post these rules?

Well, from times I've owned a board, and also from some of the boards I've seen, the best options are to have either

1. A Rules Board

A locked board at the top of the list containing a stickied topic with the rules and other topics to reflect updates to the rules

2. A Boardwide Sticky

I don't know if you can do this with this forum, but some boards have a sticky of the rules that appears at the top of all topic list

3. Rules on Signup Page and in small print on the Post New Message/Topic page

Alright cool. When you go to add a new thread there is a drop down box where you can select sticky, forum announcement or global announcement. I'm guessing that the global announcement would appear at the top of all forums?

Yes, that's usually what a global announcement does. Now, to get a standardized list. To start off, which of the rules I mentioned in the first post do you think should be included and are there any other rules you think should be considered?
