[Enjin Archive] auctions driving
Started by [E] abzilla

yeah.....some rich follow in MT willing to pay more in the emergency need time.

I willing to pay more for a condom during emergency need...lol
so long as you pay up if you win, there is no issue...part of an auction is judging the crowd and getting the price to where you want it. if you are a poor judge, you get stuck with the bid. You pay. Pretty simple
I got hit pretty hard in an auction driving the price up on a wicked dope enchanted pick axe, ended up spending 233D on one hahaha. Lesson learned.

So the only problem i have with this rule is it is NOT posted on the "rules" page. im not trying to cause problems but people agree to the rule page when they join so its a bit unfair to ban them with out the rule being posted in a commen area ( the rules page)
Abzilla why the double posts?! >.<

It's just common sense. You win an auction you are obligated to pay. It doesn't need to be blatantly stated.

I know its common sense but the same with steeling. Not steeling is common sense. the same with greifing...
the whole thing is tho that i did NOT win that auction and a staff member gave me a warning for bidding with no intention of buying -.- but i could argue that if i bid there was an intention of buying no matter what was said. all i did was bid so he would bid more. there is nothing wrong with this i had not won the auction. but yet i was given a warning due to i was bumping the price on an auction up. i feel this is unfair and that i should not get a warning due to people do it all the time. that same staff member also state it should be banable due to its inflicting with rule #1.

EDIT: and no i'm not saying that bc someone does something means i can do it aswell. in this case i did not break any rules. yet im getting a warning for it.
Be respectful of your fellow community members. I'm pretty sure that is in there somewhere. Bidding on something you have no desire for other then to see the price increase is a pretty jerk move. Admitting to being a jerk and defending it are also fairly horrible stances. Eventually, your actions will have some repercussions in the said winning of auction, but in the meantime you won't generate much good will amongst your peers. The latter point is really what I would most like to successful communicate.
