[Enjin Archive] auctions driving
Started by [E] abzilla

i wanna know what everyone thinks do you think that running up a price in an auction is wrong? if you win the auction youd stil have to pay. but a staff member says that its a bannable offence. what do you think? i didnt know the person selling the cow egg but i was driving the price up. i was given a warning next time itll be a ban.
but if i would of won the auction i would of bought the item i bidded on.
Driving up the price - legal its a auction for god sake don't get butt hurt if someone bids lol

Refusing to pay - illegal.

EDIT:

Just some points to add:

If i think something is going too low in a auction or i just want to give someone a hard time ill up the bid until i feel the price is right.

i mean if i didnt wanna buy the item i wouldnt of bidded but just bc i bidded and stopped doesnt mean i didnt want it. i just rose the price regardless of what was said. i can bid on anything aslong as i have enough to cover my bid and pay for the item i had won. which i would of when i bidded.

those are the rules to the server which do not state i cant run up a bid i know its a dick move but still. its a move none the less
the rule on it is, if you win the bid, you pay up or I will ban you if given the proof...driving up the price is fine, but as in a real live auction, if you win, you have to pay....
ok thank you zionia
so say im just driving the price up but i have the money to cover it then its all good? right
