Well, duckshop also has a good number of benefits over tradecraft:

Currently, I have my shop in spawn link to a chest in my vault, and another "shop" at my grinder and work areas which dump into the same chest - this makes it very easy to refill my shop directly. Moreover, all of my other shops (in my city, at CoW mall) draw from the same inventory chest, which means that as long as I have inventory, all of my shops are stocked, and it's painless to restock all my shops. I also have considerably more space in my shops (almost double) because I don't have to have a chest beneath each sign.

When I saw sawine's notice, I figured that the infinite shops were going to be biggest outcry for the most obvious reasons. In an ideal world, we could just run both and neither would ever have any issues and users would have the ultimate choice, but every plugin we have has costs in terms of support, bugfixes, lag, and potential for mistakes (accidental typos in the configuration, for example), and when it just boils down to it, duckshop is much, much easier to support while still providing the same critical functions.
