Today I recieved a message from someone who I have never talked to before, telling me to check out a server, which supposedly is run by his friend, and I will get perks if I join etc. This message is probably some kind of spam message, so this is really more of a warning to other users, that if you get a message like this, just delete it! This could however be legit, in which case I am not entirely sure what the rules are on advertising through PMs!

hmm, i just got the same exact message from him. i told him that i was reporting him for spam, but he said he manually wrote it. it is spam, he sent it without you wanting it, and he was advertising.

The message you got, you got from an enjin user, not minetown.

This thread really is pointless.

He wasn't spamming he was just letting you know about his server. Its not against enjin rules, and minetown rules dont apply in this case because it has nothing to do with minetown

You should report him to enjin, sadly minetown cant do anything about messages/profiles as its an enjin thing >_>
