[Enjin Archive] Making glowstone
Started by [E] IsTank

A faster way of converting the soul sand to glowstone is by making a grid of redstone on the ground, and placing the soul sand on top <object class="emojione" data="https://resources.enjin.com/1489581540/themes/core/images/emojione/svg/1f61b.svg?0" type="image/svg+xml" standby=":p">:p</object> Works faster for me.

P.S. (for the oldtimers) Don't use your picks on the glowstone anymore, use a sword. A wooden sword is faster than a diamond pick (unenchanted of course), and you don't want x2 damage to your pick now do you? xD (the reason is because Notch changed the block type of glowstone from "stone" to "glass")

Just thought this info would help you guys <object class="emojione" data="https://resources.enjin.com/1489581540/themes/core/images/emojione/svg/1f61b.svg?0" type="image/svg+xml" standby=":p">:p</object>

If everyone knew it would RUIN the economy! Ruin it!
what about a pick with fortune? does that add to the drop of glowdust?
Yeah, like with every other addition of anything ever, the "fragile" economy of MT would get ruined. Except economies aren't as fragile as people think. It would simply lock together the price of glowstone and soulsand to one value in between their current prices

Nope, they made sure you can't fortune-dupe reversible blocks like glowstone. Not sure on this but I think a fortune pick makes it more likely to get four dust rather than it being random
if this is some big secret that is now up then glowstone farming in the nether will go away for a bit and the economy will likely naturally substitute soulsand and redstone based materials to compensate. this is assuming everyone wants to deal with the hassle working the conversion instead of just buying it. the economy should be fairly stable as those that dont like to buy and instead collect and fabricate thier own materials still will and those that wish to buy still will to do so. so suppliers and markets should be fairly uneffected for the most part. and those are my two cents on that... im off to the bar.
