Yes it is the same :) Just replace the minecraft.jar in your bin folder. To find the bin folder is really easy on windows just click anywhere on your desktop once and hold down the windows logo key on your key board (It's in between the Ctrl and Alt key on the bottom left hand corner of your keyboard) and press R a little window called Run should have come up. In the space where it says Open: paste in this command. Don't worry its safe :) C:\Users\UserName\AppData\Roaming\.minecraft In the code part that says (UserName) replace that with your username that you see when you login to your computer, and click OK. your .minecraft file should have just opened up in a new window. In there you will see everything that has todo with minecraft including your bin folder. Place the minecraft.jar that you just downloaded in to the bin. Replace the old minecraft.jar

Thats It :)
