Can someone tell me why the demanding of silktouch increase so high?

I had a silktouch with me that purchase month ago cost me 45d only. And now the silktouch like going to 150d ~ 256d...

What happen??

part of the demand for silk touch picks comes from the ability to mine spawners with them, plus the rarity of the enchant itself. spawn eggs (which you can make spawners out of now) cost an arm, leg, part of a liver, and maybe a kidney, so silk picks are a must for spawner owners and spawner hunters alike.

The other thing you have to realize is that once the cake glitch was fixed, there was a lot less experience being awarded. This makes it harder to obtain enchants, especially silk touch. Because of this, all enchantment prices are going up.
