No, I downloaded some software that can put you back to older versions but that software was recommended by Amaryxi so I used it to play Minetown but yes I did upgrade before Minetown was 1.1.

As for modification's I cannot install them, and I use the default texture pack. I didn't have the improved chat either.

I think I will have to play around with some Java and graphic properties settings to get my colour (color)
