For the jail time, I do believe they have to be CONSTANTLY moving, or else the timer doesn't tick. So that is one benefit of jail time (again, to my understanding).

Jail will kick you, if you become inactive, for more than 10 minutes

The thing is

I was banned before for griefing someone's house

But I was given a second chance and now I am a very active member to MINETOWN and irrespective the rules more

I was new and I didnt know how good the server was

But back to desscussion

I think people should get a second chance but

Should do what I did and be given the chance to come back in a month or two to show you are committed

And a massive jail time

One prob with jail

If you jump that counts as active

So you can just put a stapler on the space bar over night...

I always ensure I have a good collection of proof in screenshots before I ban the player, that way I can ensure it’s a perma ban. I don’t mess about when I ban people.

Sometimes the player will remake their ban appeal after a few months, I feel this shows that the player has been patient and understood their mistakes. If the reason they were banned isnt a very serious rule breaking then I will give them a chance to prove themselves, part of the unban terms would be 10 hours spent in jail and it will be the only chance they get. Any rules they break, even if it were a minor one, they will be ip banned with no chance of an appeal.

I do not unban players who make multiple appeals that are at least a month since they have been banned and I don’t even consider those appeals that are made by rude and impatient people. If you are going to treat staff in that sort of manner when trying to sort an appeal out then I will show you no mercy, manners will get you far in life if you use them.

I know my tactics seem very strict but look at it this way, if I was more lenient with who I accept back in to the community would you really want these kind of people back? I may be strict but I always try to be fair, giving them a chance to prove the reasons behind the problem. Sometimes it has just been a misunderstanding between players but other times it’s the excuses of family members hacking their account ect.

I do look at other ban appeals, I know its hard having to play the bad guy when dealing with ban appeals. Some of the people we face can be really horrible so it can be a frustrating task for staff members. If I feel another member of staff is being too soft on appeals I message them just to let them know my opinion on being strict with appeals. They honestly don’t need to take my advice, I am open and approachable and it wouldn’t upset me if they choose to do it their own way. Its my opinion at the end of the day, in no way would I want them to feel like they have to do it like that.

If soccer or duns would like their votes reset they just need to message a member of staff. Its obvious they are being targeted by some extremely immature and petty members. They havent got the balls to message them with their problems, instead they hide behind a computer screen disliking everything.

I feel I have covered the main topic of this thread regarding second chances in appeals, I will be locking this before the thread goes off topic or becomes a flame thread. Im sorry if anyone else had an opinion on this matter x
