If you haven't heard yet, the devs at Minetown have brought us an awesome, custom, plugin that allows the purchase of vaults with Minetown Credits.

could you buy say, the 6xxx large vault for its respective credits but with diamonds?

Hunter, the whole process is done via /command, completely without the use of a mod, so I'm going to say no. But if you wanted to sell all your diamonds for creds then buy the vault, well there you go.
