Hey guys,

I'm just wondering about the biomes after the "release" update. I built my city right next to what was a winter biome (so that I may collect snowballs and make snow blocks, for building). However, it no longer snows here. It just rained... Did the entire map's biome system change with the update? Just wondering, because now I'll have to find someplace else to farm snow unless it can be changed back?

Yes, 1.9/1.0 has different land generation scripting than 1.8 and even though previously generated terrain appears as before, biome coloration and weather follows what a chunk would be with the new generation methods. You may need to do some exploring during rainy weather to find a new snowy area.
