Could anyone help me because I updated to 1.0.0 and then I forgot to save my .minecraft folder. So if anyone could kindly post their .minecraft folder that would be gladly apreciated.

I'm pretty sure (but not totally sure), that the minecraft.jar available from the minecraft.net website is still the 1.8 jarfile, which will autopatch to 1.0.0 upon the first run.
So I think you can just use that, make a copy, then swap .Minecraft folders after the game updates.
